  • "A lovely property in many ways."

Fantastic location and amazing views from the top floor. The children loved the games room! Our stay was marred by inadequate heating on the first day. We were freezing cold and miserable, but the heating was controlled externally. It was sorted the second day, but we were only there for three days. There were other issues too, so we spent a disproportionate amount of our holiday time trying to contact the agent (the phone numbers didn’t work), emailing Sykes, taking photos and waiting for a plumber. The owner did not contact us once. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the issue you had on the first day with the heating, the council had dug the road up cutting the electricity the day before you arrived causing the Hive heating controller to lock. The issue was solved on the day you arrived but delayed because you tried to use Sykes to get the issue resolved rather than the property manager. We’ve checked the telephone numbers in the welcome book and they all go straight through to the agents that manage the property. There was no need to contact Sykes directly or try to contact the owner who are currently sailing around the world and therefore not often available. Could I suggest in future that you read the welcome book, if you’d contacted the agent when you arrived and informed them of the issue the heating would have been on within the hour. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house, well equipped and a great location."

The only downsides are the ensuite drainage to the grey bedroom shower at the top of the house. The run off is slow which causes the shallow shower tray to overflow very quickly. There was also a distinct smell of drains which required constant use of the extractor fan. That apart, it was a great week and we may book again.

  • "Excellent location - elevated, scenic position yet so convenient for prom, pier and town centre within 5 minutes walk!"

Accommodation was spacious and absolutely fine for 3-generation party of 12 plus the dog. We had an issue with shower leakage from top floor ensuite, but this was very quickly resolved on the same day. Many thanks again - we'll continue to use Sykes for future family holidays.

Clean and tidy with plenty of space. Great location with access to Pubs, Shops, Seafront and the Orme. Shame about parking, but we knew that before we went and car parks are not too far with reasonable overnight rates. Would definitely stay here again

Thanks for the lovely feedback, greatly appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back to Eversley. Property Owner

  • "The property was very nice."

Well equipped with a great location. However, it would be helpful for Americans to explain how hard it is to park on the street and places to park. More detailed information on check out requirements would help. The recycled bins were completely full. The cleaners could put hand soap in each bathroom, dishwasher pods, extra toilet paper since we had 12 people staying.

Thanks for the feedback and it’s good to read that you enjoyed your stay and Eversley House. Apologies that each of the bathrooms didn’t have enough soap and toilet paper, this shouldn’t have been the case, we’ll take measures to correct this. Regarding the recycling, great feedback and thanks for pointing this out as it’s been an ongoing problem and cause of frustration for us with the local council, they refuse to make additional collections! We’re looking at alternative options and will change the service provider. Property Owner

  • "Firstly thank you for allowing the dogs, the holiday was boosted by the amazing property and the surroundings."

Perfect location, parking only an issue once but it's not problem. Anything we needed we had e.g. scissors! even a sewing kit! I'm so grateful for the beautiful decor in the bedrooms and living spaces.

Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay in both Llandudno and Eversley House, we hope to welcome you back soon. Pass on our thanks to the dogs for being so well behaved, they put some of us humans to shame :-) Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed the stay at Llandudno and the beds were very comfortable."

However after being told of damp issues in one of the bedrooms we were disappointed to discover scaffolding on one side of the building and then to receive a message informing us a few days later that builders were due to start work on the outside which we were assured previously would not happen. There were a few issues with smells on top floor from bathrooms and sink in kitchen was tea stained when we arrived.

  • "The house itself is lovely and in a good position for amenities."

However we found that the heating was not working and this was this was not rectified until the day before we went home. The second bedroom on the first floor was damp with plaster coming off the wall and on the floor. One of the curtain holder was lying on the floor. The toilet holder in the bathroom was filthy and there was brown water in the brush holder which smelt horrible. I had to clean it as the whole room smelled. There was a bulb out in a bedside table in the first room on the first floor. In the left-hand room on the top floor the curtains were hanging down as they had come off the rail. Although the house is lovely these things did detract from our enjoyment, particularily the lack of heating as it was really cold at night. I think it is important to mention these things as they can be sorted out before the next people arrive.

We’re so sorry that you had so many issues during your stay with us, seems all our buses came at once, and thank you for bringing them to our attention so that they can be addressed. It appears that we had some rain water leaking through the window frame and wasn’t spotted as it was behind a large curtain. Good to read that you enjoyed the holiday and we look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

The facilities were spot on, clean, comfortable and kept everyone happy...even 4 normally grumpy teenagers! We loved the views from our bedroom and the location was great. So close to all amenities and the beach but far enough away to be quiet. Perfect to return to after a long day walking.

  • "We had the most wonderful stay at Eversley."

The house was extremely well appointed, immaculately clean, bright and spacious. We stayed in the midst of storm Eunice and it was so great to have a welcoming space that we could go back to when then weather got too much to stay on the beach! Location was perfect, the only thing we found to be missing was a cafetière! But this did not detract from our stay in the slightest (and there may well have been one that we didn’t find). We can’t wait to book again!

  • "Comfortable beds."

Well equipped. Quality linen and towels. Very clean and tidy and left well prepared by the property management company. A welcome pack of cakes and biscuits and, even better, two litres of milk in the fridge! Pretty much everything you could need supplies-wise including toilet roll, kitchen foil, washing up liquid; the only things we needed to add were kitchen roll and extra dishwasher tablets. Situation is perfect for shops, sea and busses. Car parking could be a challenge at busy times but we unloaded and loaded on double yellows opposite and then found a spot in a side street up the hill. During the week, we were able to move closer to the house when a spot was vacated.

In peak season it was often impossible to set our cars down as the small off road parking is all taken by people visiting the beach. It was a big frustration and was the only downside to this property. Once you had a car parking space, you felt nervous to lose it and this became prohibitive.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
