Suited us very well as a three generation family. Grandparents 60 + down to 5 week old grandchild ! Facilities were brilliant and in excellent working order at the beginning and end of our stay. Thank you. Just a little note that better overhead lighting in the lounge would have helped the knitters amongst us, of an evening, because we adults did not bother to watch any television. But overall wonderful.

The games room was great fun, including the hot tub. Well equipped, and had everything you needed. There was a few minor niggles, wonky toilet seats, and squeaky beds. On the whole really clean, a few areas could have been cleaner along skirting, etc, and a few dishes. The lady who looked after the property was lovely. Would definitely use again!

  • "A lovely, comfortable property in a beautiful setting which was plenty big enough for the 9 of us from three generations to get together."

The games barn and hot tub were well used because of the summer we have had this year and when the sun managed to shine we also loved the garden and barbecue. The cottage was very well resourced and the only minor quibble we had was that the double beds had double sized duvets which seemed a bit small! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a big holiday house in this part of Dorset.

  • "Amazing location, and a beautiful cottage."

Clean and well equipped. Would definitely recommend and book same cottage again. Minor niggles, gravel surrounding cottage made it slightly more difficult for our nan. She can't walk unaided, so entering and leaving were a little tricky, however she totally enjoyed her stay. The only other point was that some of the mattresses were a little soft for our taste, but that is personal preference and didn't spoil our enjoyment and we will definitely book again.

Thoroughly recommended if you want basic accommodation in a lovely location that takes up to 11 people.

We really enjoyed our tour of the farm given by Sue, she was very informative and we loved seeing how the robotic milking machine worked, amazing! It's a great place for a family gathering, and there was something for our 3 generations to enjoy. The games room was a real winner and the hot tub was an added bonus. This isn't a criticism just a tip for anyone else booking the farmhouse, there isn't a hairdryer at the property or a separate mattress for the travel cot. But on saying that we had the best time, and have already recommended it to some of our friends and family

Thank you for your feedback. The pool and snooker table are going to be refurbished in the next month but they are not broken. The skittles game is different from the standard 10 pin bowl and the skittle pins are designed to sustain and show the dented area where they are hit. They are still regularly replaced so they are all in working order. • "I was assured the hot tub was cleaned, and it wasn't."

It had a lot of grit in it. And the sides were very built up dirt. The fridges and freezers were off. Previous visitors underwhere behind the sofa and previous rubbish also left behind and under many of the furniture.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback, which we have discussed with the owner, who disputes that the hot tub was dirty and had grit in it upon your arrival. The hot tub is emptied and refilled between bookings. There is a pump that sucks out any bits in the bottom of the hot tub. You need to use a hot tub when you are clean as the information at the house states. If you have make up, face creams, sun cream etc, it reacts with the chemicals and then causes a build up on the sides. This is also made worse when the jets are left going after use and not turned off. When the jets are left going the hot tub pumps away to maintain its heat and the bubbles generate froth which sticks to the side of the tub. The owners daughter was due to turn the fridge and freezers on in preparation for your arrival, however as you arrived earlier than the stipulated arrival time she did not manage to do this for you. A full and thorough check is done during each and every changeover including behind and under furniture. Had you notified the owners daughter of these issues during the conversation you had with her, she would have been more than happy to attend to the points you raised. Property Owner

  • "Whilst the cottage itself was a really good size and location for our family, sadly a lot of the facilities were not up to scratch - none of us slept as the beds were really uncomfortable and 2 of the 3 showers were useless- they literally dripped so slowly it took 20 mins to wash your hair and kept running hot and cold the whole time."

We had a power cut during our stay which was fixed within a few hours but then it left us with no hot water for the last day so couldn’t do any washing etc before we left. Lovely location and friendly hosts but the cottage and facilities really need some TLC, certainly didn’t look like it had been cleaned before we went in.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback, we have spoken with the owner regarding the issues you mention, she has confirmed that the showers were checked upon your departure and are all working fine and wonders if maybe the dials were not set at the correct setting for a faster flow of water? Following the power cut a part was required for the boiler which unfortunately did not arrive until after you left. We have arranged for a quality assurance team to visit this property to carry out their annual inspection and any upgrades will be suggested to the owner if needed then. Property Owner

The overall house is good but needs some upgrading , the front door lock is very tricky and anyone with arthritis wouldn’t be able to open it . I had great difficulties. The three beds we used were uncomfortable, but ok . The washing up bowl was dirty , old and split the sharp plastic cut my 86 year old mothers finger badly , another oldish was left by the front door but no apology from the owner just that she had forgotten about it . I also found the side of a cabinet by the bed was filthy and covered in looked like drink spilt down it . I raised the cleaning in an appropriate way , and provided a picture and no come back , the hot tub was on a large shed and the straps were broken on the lid and it looked very old , and grubby , we didn’t use it . The owners have clearly had real problems at this property from people disrespecting it . Very sadly this was evident in the rule book , “ DO NOT TRASH “ do not , do not etc followed by exclamation marks . It doesn’t feel friendly or welcoming and with the lack of care from the owners eg legitimate concerns , I would not return here . There were old balloons and sweet wrappers down the side of the sofa , my concerns are that during this time cleanliness has to be 110% . The stock of equipment was excellent, the kitchens were excellent for large parties . Double glazing is in need of some attention . If you are wanting to escape to nowhere , this is lovely but don’t behave “!!!!!! “And don’t expect excellent customer service “!!!!!!! “

Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are glad that you found the area beautiful and overall, the house to be good. We are however, disappointed you had some issues during your stay. If you mentioned these at the time most of your issues could have been dealt with as necessary. The hot tub water is changed for each booking and the whole barn is cleaned and sanitised during every changeover. There are safety notes on the hot tub lid about conditions of use and a copy is also kept in the information folder. We have spoken to our cleaning team with regards to your comments. Once again thank you for your comments, Please be assured we take all comments very seriously and follow up where necessary. Property Owner
