House was cold but it was explained (boiler had broken down but new one installed and no-one had been in before us). Few small maintenance issues which had been caused by other users but were to be made good. Lovely people to deal with and nothing that spoilt our holiday. Thank you Marie and Charlie for your prompt and courteous attention.

  • "Having read some of the previous negative ( re cooker) feedback we did book this house with a little trepidation."

Our fears were not realised. The house was spotless and we were welcomed by the lovely housekeeper. Our only gripe is, however, that there are NO recycling facilities at the property , which in this day and age we find to be most remiss and dare one say unethical? Guests may choose to be lazy and not recycle their household items, but please at least give them the opportunity to do so.

Thank you for your feedback. I can confirm that once we were made aware of the issue with the shower that this was fixed the same day. Property Owner

  • "Great house, with a great size."

No safety locks on windows for children. Few of inventory worn around the edges. Eg tv’s in bedrooms that don’t work. Remotes don’t work on other tv’s. couple of exposed wires in sunroom and living room. Lack of comfortable and enclosed outdoor space is the only reason I would not take my family back again to this property. Overall, a lovely house with very comfortable beds.

  • "The house is very worn and its obvious that the owner doesn't really care much for the property."

There were no wardrobes in the kids bedrooms, couch was broken, oven was disgusting inside. We didn't cook at all in the house. TVs in the rooms didn't work. Not worth the money.

  • "Before the holiday I tried to contact Sykes customer services about travelling to Ireland and the legality of going to the cottage."

Your service was poor. Long waiting times and and a customer services rep who was not aware of the restrictions about travelling to Southern Ireland. In her words 'Sykes were only responsible for letting the cottage and after that they had no responsibility'.
