  • "Fantastic farm house, ideal for family get togethers!"

! Party barn is amazing. House was fully stocked with everything you need to have a really great time! I would highly recommend booking!

  • "Hill House is very homely, comfortable, cosy as well as extensive, each room providing ample space for a big family."

It is also quirky but considering its age and all the add-ons over the centuries this is not surprising! We were amazed to be told about the Priest's Hole in the house, an exciting historic find. The turkey, beef, pheasant and ham cooked on the Aga was very tasty, perhaps more so than conventional oven? Tricky initially but once we read the instructions it was easy to use. I needed instructions for the washing machine which was provided instantly. Any queries actually, were dealt with immediately. The party barn was an added bonus.

  • "We were very happy with this house and the party barn in the grounds."

There was plenty of space for everyone with 2 lounges, a little study where some of us did a puzzle, and the party barn was very popular with the younger members of the family and those adults who wanted to watch the rugby on the large TV. However we were not impressed with the directions to the house (provided not by the owner but by Sykes we understand).

  • "We had a wonderful week at Hill House and would highly recommend this property."

It was very comfortable, and one of the best stocked properties we have stayed in- plenty of glasses, cups, crockery, utensils cooking equipment etc etc which all meant that our stay felt very homely. A beautiful garden and fun games room added to the enjoyment for eveyone.

  • "Three generations spent a week in Hill House Farm and we all had a great time."

The house had space for everyone to do their own thing or all be together. Everyone loved the party barn, especially the boys, a great social space. A great base for visiting the attractions of the area. Highly recommended.

  • "Perfect house for a group, lots of space."

If you wanted to curl up with a book in a quiet space there was room, even with 9 people.

  • "Fabulous place for a large group to stay."

We were 3 families and it worked perfectly. Large fully stocked kitchen with all the amenities and equipment you could want. The party barn was a great hit, lovely and warm. Only slight downside was the downstairs shower, the upstairs bathroom only had a bath. In the upstairs twin bedroom the beds are a little small for adults and it was a bit noisy with the boiler/water system being in there. The living rooms are cosy and the wood burning stove was lovely.

  • "We took our four children and their partners, all in their twenties, away for the weekend."

Hill House Farm was the perfect stay. Unusually, all five bedrooms had double beds whilst the party barn was perfect for the children to get away from us. The house was very well supplied with each bathroom having ample shampoo, shower gel etc.. In addtion, there was plentiful tea, coffee and a welcome bottle of wine. A large supply of wood was provided for the wood burner so we kept lovely and warm whilst the Aga was ideal for cooking for 10. All in all, a perfect stay

  • "Lovely house for big family stay."

Well equipped and comfortable. Very spacious and the 'Party barn' was a huge hit. The little kids (7 & 10) were able to stop up in a safe environment , play bar billiards etc. They loved it. Kind of the owners to supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash & washing up liquid - eco friendly. Also biscuits, tea bags, coffee and milk as a starter pack. We ate at The Narrowboat at Weedon and The 'live and let live'. Ordered a takeaway form the Lucky House(?). Fine. Very near the services off the M1 which has a Greggs and a Starbucks. Perfect for the dog walker to fetch us all a coffee! Garden dog and kid friendly. The children were very taken with the study FULL of board games & Jigsaws - this was smashing. Another shower would have been nice, with 9 in the house, but with such an old characterful house this is tricky. Need to master the Aga better. Trying to cook for 9 was a challenge. Bedding and towels all great quality. All in all a fantastic stay and the owners are to be congratulated on such a great quality place. Thanks - we may be back!

  • "Just returned from an excellent 3 night stay here over Easter, a group of 3 families with kids aged 0-3."

A fantastic place with huge amounts of space, upstairs and downstairs. Great sized garden and the annexed games room is excellent (once the kids had gone to bed!). Incredibly easy to access a couple of mins from the M1, but quiet too. We all said we will make this an annual trip here.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Hill House Farm over the Christmas period."

The house was everything we hoped for and more. The party barn was a definite plus, especially to escape to when needed! The owner was very helpful with queries we had and when we had a small issue with the bath, a plumber was around in a couple of hours to fix it. All in all very impressed and we hope to be back again!

  • "This was one of the most spacious and well equipped holiday homes we (5 adults, 3 teenagers, 2 children and 1 dog!"

) have stayed in. The owners/staff could not have been any more helpful and friendly. The garden was well kept and safe for the children and dog with hidden treasures (rope swing & tree house). It was lovely to see ethically sourced toiletries being used and promoted throughout and the 'party barn' is just amazing! This is a gem of a house for large groups, although we thought the fridge was somewhat small for the size of group the house can accommodate - a minor thing in a fabulous house, managed by a very helpful team.
