  • "This property is amazing."

We all had a wonderful weekend away. Plenty to do without even leaving the house. Everything was clean and tidy. Would definitely stay there again.

  • "Absolutely fantastic stay with our family of 10 ages 8-67."

Very spacious and comfortable house. Lovely location. You do need to drive to get around (though lovely walks form the house, and possible to walk to beaches) but neighboring towns and villages with restaurants and shops are very near by car.

  • "This was our second visit to Awel Y Llan and hopefully not our last (although it does seem to be already fully booked for next July!"

). This is a lovely, well maintained and comfy holiday home. It has the most amazing views from the house and is in an area of outstanding beauty. There is so much to do and see as well as just relaxing in the garden or the hot tub enjoying the views. Even on a wet day we found plenty to occupy us in the games room. Definitely a 5 star holiday home.

  • "We had a great week at Awel Y Llan."

The accommodation was perfect plenty of space for everyone and very comfortable. Well equipped in the kitchen. Games room was great we had a table tennis tournament on the one day it rained which was great fun. The views from the front were lovely. Lovely beach nearby, less than 5 minutes in the car or a nice 20 minute walk. Stunning area we will return.

  • "When paying almost £3000 for a property for one week, one would expect a dishcloth, scourer and oven gloves in the kitchen."

Also one rubbish bag for a house that sleeps 12 is not satisfactory at all. The sink was in a sorry state and needs replacing. As noticed in another review, some of the jets in the hot tub don't work and the water sprays out everywhere when on the higher setting. It looked like something was broken where the water comes in. Overall, the property felt a little tired. The setting is very nice with lovely views. We would have been very tempted to book again but the above issues have put us off.

  • "We had a lovely stay at this property."

The views were amazing. It was very spacious and comfortable. The only issue we faced was with regards to the gas cylinder for the BBQ. It was empty and we had to go searching for a replacement, which was a little disappointing. All in all a positive stay, thank you for having us. =)

Thank you for your feedback. I m glad you enjoyed your stay. The gas cylinder was full last time we were at the property so I'm sorry you were put to this inconvenience Property Owner

  • "On arrival should have been complimentary coffee milk and tea ."

On a long journey had to go out to get basics. Hot tub jets didn't work very well and the mop for water was rubbish. Had no hot water so had to make lots of phone calls first to electrian then finally spoke to owner which he did sort out problem in the end but not needed. The filter on extractor fan in kitchen smelt like old fat also the dinning room seats had stains on them . When we striped beds last day found that none of the pillows had no sort of protector on them and they had stains, and upstairs the double duvet had blood on it which we didn't see until we striped it. We couldn't play table tennis because there was one ball and that had a split in it. I even went to a sports shop to buy some but no luck. I might be nit picking but if these things are offered everything should be in place. Also in the kitchen there is no tongs for food and the knives where so blunt I struggled cutting anythings, no big tray for pizza in any cupboard. Apart from those things we did enjoy ourselves location is really nice, just need a little more eye to detail

Thank you for your comments. It is really useful to receive feedback so we can make sure that the house is in the best possible condition for guests. I have taken note of your points raised. I have now ordered some pillow protectors, and I have been in touch with our cleaning lady who will check the bedding, stains on the dining chairs and the extractor fan filter. I have asked her to ensure the hot water is switched on for future guests. In addition I have requested that there is a working mop in the spa room and that there are enough table tennis bats and balls in the games room for you to enjoy. I am pleased though that you were able to have an enjoyable time in our house and in the local region. Property Owner

  • "Super cottage in a great location."

Ranging in age from 2 to 74, some or all of us cycled, swam, paddle boarded, played golf, walked Snowden, surfed, visited a play barn, browsed the shops, spent hours on the beach and explored Harlech Castle, all within easy reach of our accommodation. Evenings were spent enjoying the hot tub and sauna, playing in the games room and finally relaxing over a glass of wine or two by the cosy log burner. A wonderful week for the whole family. We highly recommend Awel Y Llan.

The house was clean and very well-equipped with everything you could possibly think of. The games room was great. Views were stunning. Ideal set-up for larger groups. Secure section of the outbuilding in which we could keep our bikes. A very peaceful location. We fell in love with it! We have already booked to visit again next year and can’t wait to stay there again.

Ideal for a multi generational family holiday with a games room and a hot tub that were both well used and the added bonus of enough seating in the lounge so all the family could sit together when they wanted. We would definitely recommend and would definitely book again when holidaying in Wales.

  • "Firstly the less positive aspects: The walk to the local pub/ shop is a good mile and limited pavements which makes it difficult with buggy/ small people."

No cot or high chair ( we bought our own). It’s also the first self catering home I’ve been to in many years without a welcome tray ( milk, cake, tea etc). The house was spotlessly clean, the facilities were very good and the views were fantastic. The kitchen was really well equipped and the house had loads of space for us all to enjoy. Beds were super comfy and bed linen and pillows really good quality.

Close to the train station so we didn't need to use the cars at all. Some lovely walks on the beach and chilling in the hot tub later was superb with a gorgeous view. The house was very spacious and had basically everything we needed. The games room was fab although as the weather was so great the whole week, we didn't use it much. Highly recommend this home for large family gatherings and we certainly hope to return.
