  • "This is our 3rd visit to Glan Towyn for a large family get together."

As always the house worked extremely well for us. Beautifully decorated and obviously lots of thought into the design and furnishings to make a lovely experience for visitors. Huge kitchen/diner area with fantastic views over the sea. All the necessary cooking, crockery and cutlery required to cope with large scale food preparation and dining. Large sitting areas that allowed different groups to play games, watch TV or just to chill without interrupting each other. Even a small study area which allowed some of our group to do some work in peace and quiet. Being February could not use all the outdoor facilities, but was able to use one of the balconies on a few occasions and the hot tub was well used! Located within short walking distance of the beach and to a pub. What more do you want! Once again a great visit!

Thank you for returning yet again to Glan Towyn. We really value your booking and thank you for your extremely positive feedback. We look forward to hosting you again at any time. Very warm wishes. Emma Property Owner

  • "What a wonderful house!"

We have had the best week at Glan Towyn. The house and facilities are perfect; all 12 of us (3 generations) were so comfortable. The decor and furnishings are aspirational - it is all SO well curated. The games room and outside areas were perfect for the children and the adults really appreciated the 4 sitting rooms to choose from with plenty of sofas and armchairs to go around. The 3 balconies were well used to take advantage of the beautiful views. The amazing kitchen is so well stocked and has a huge island unit and dining table to allow us to eat together. We didn’t explore much of the local area by car as we didn’t need to - we swam in the sea every morning, warmed up in the hot tub, went for lovely coastal walks, visited the local pub and even saw seals in Rhoscolyn bay. We christened the house the HHOD - Holiday House of Dreams and it really has ruined us for the future. I don’t think we could stay anywhere better. At the end of the week we left as firm fans of William Morris and even bigger fans of Rhoscolyn. A magical place.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We designed the house to suit guests of every age and are really thrilled to get such lovely feedback. We spent a lot of time on trying to get everything right, thinking of everything people might need, making the house fun and comfortable and to our mind stylish!! We are so pleased that you appreciated our touches. Kind regards, Emma Property Owner

Perfectly proportioned for my family group ranging from 8 to 69! So close to the beautiful beach as well - perfect for the kids and dogs! Being city dwellers the single track lane was the only downside and hence why I’ve given it a 8/10 as a recommendation, but for people who are used to them kinds of roads I’d say 10 out of 10! A lovely long weekend living a very luxurious life

I have stayed in lots of sykes cottages and this is the best so far. In addition to the hot tub, sauna and games room, you have a minutes walk (max) to the beach, option to lay on the sun loungers or play cricket in the garden or read on the balconies. A bonus was the short walk to the pub where the food was delicious. Our family will take back the most incredible memories whilst celebrating my Sons 30th birthday. Thank you Emma and the team.

  • "Glan Towyn was the absolute perfect place for our 40th birthday celebration week."

The property itself is gorgeous and so uniquely decorated, with such thought and care and good quality, well maintained furniture. The kitchen/dining room has such beautiful views out of the massive windows, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony when we were in the house. It is a short walk to a quiet beach, and the provision of wetsuits and paddleboards, kayak and other beach and garden items was an absolute bonus as it meant we got to try things that we wouldn't have normally. The hot tub was lovely and clean, as was the sauna and bbq. It also has a charge point for EV vehicles which was a great bonus for my brother as he didn't have to hunt down somewhere to charge. We loved having a games room too - this was right up my families street. The White Eagle up the road was a great pub/place to eat. The guidance in the property was also really useful for looking into other places to go. There are really nice walks from the property too. Word of warning - the lane to the property is single track and tight. You get used to it, but be aware if you have a giant car (although we had 2 4WD and a small motorhome and were ok) In summary, it is a beautiful place and area that we didn't want to leave, and wish we could return to again and again.

Thank you for your glowing report. I am sure future guests will find this very useful. It is lovely to have such positive feedback. Thank you very much for your feedback. Best wishes Emma wishes Property Owner

The second time we stayed here we felt like we had come home. It’s the most beautiful holiday home. It feels so special yet not precious. I love the fact I can be on the beach at 7am with my dogs and not another soul around. The coastal walks around are stunning. The White Eagle up the road is great for dogs and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The welcome packages we’ve received on arrival are always so appreciated and I was excited for it the second time round after not expecting it the first time! It’s a wonderful base for seeing other areas of Anglesey, though the second time we mainly stayed in the house and on the beach. When talking to shop owners and walkers, they know Glan Towyn well! It’s a bit of local legend! And so deserves to be. I know we will be back. The attention to detail hasn’t been matched anywhere else! We’re actually looking to buy our own holiday home on the island after being inspired by Glan Towyn in both its location, facilities and style. But I’m sure we’ll be back many times before then!

My dream home on a beach. We slept so well after being out all day long and the weather was even sunny and dry enough for us to paddleboard, kayak and swim. Knowing that there was a warm shower, sauna and hot tub to warm up in was worth that initial cold shock from the sea! Our dogs had the time of their life on the beach and with the beautiful coastal walking. We had planned to eat out at local restaurants but only managed to tear ourselves away from the kitchen and stunning views once (we had dinner at the White Eagle - lovely food and the dogs were made very welcome). I don't think either could be bettered and the photos really don't do justice to the stunning rooms and the extensive equipment. We were a family of 10 spanning three generations aged 12 to 76. There was something to delight each of us and it seemed every little thing that would enhance our stay had been provided. Even a pair of binoculars strategically placed beside a balcony window. The younger element of the group were thrilled by the contents of the "shed" and put the wet suits to use. They also loved escaping to their very own snug lounge when the rest of us were heading for bed! We all enjoyed the hot tub, silly games round the table after dinner, late night football on the telly, toasted marshmallows on the BBQ and, us older ones, the cosy log fire with cheese and port! We all agree that we would love to return.

We spent a fantastic long weekend with a group of friends at the house. The owners have created a modern, contemporary but also a traditional luxury home. It really is amazing in real life! Upon arrival were we overwhelmed with Glan Towyn and quickly felt relaxed and so at home there. The kitchen wanted for nothing and the views from both balconies in the daylight are stunning. The house is decorated in William Morris furnishings which we are now all in love with. It is literally 2 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the White Eagle pub. For a winter or summer destination Glan Towyn really does tick all the boxes for all generations. We walked the coastal path to Treaddur Bay and the scenery is breathtaking. The owners have created a holiday haven. We all enjoyed the game’s room, the sauna and hot tub. All bedrooms are super luxurious and with two fantastic lounges plus a snug there is always a quiet place to sit and relax by the log burners. The games room became their sanctuary, playing pool, table tennis and darts. The rest of the house is just as special, with everything you could think of on-hand. The kitchen/diner area is vast with amazing views in all directions leading onto two raised terraces allowing the outside to come inside, or vice versa. The sheds house paddleboards, wetsuits, a great barbeque that cooked a paella brilliantly and even a sauna. The hot tub was spotless and the water changed weekly. The owners and housekeeping staff really went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and we couldn't praise them enough. The downside of having such as special house on such a lovely cove is that we didn't get to explore Anglesey much.
