  • "A fabulous stay in this beautiful and well equipped property."

The location is spectacular and we could have sat and looked out the window all week!

  • "We reported rats running around our feet when we entered the property in the evening, and a dear rat outside a bathroom window."

A pest control man was sent once. We have stayed at this property 3 times as was very disappointed with no response from the owner despite 3 attempts to contact them through yourselves. So far no apology or compensation received.

  • "Extremely difficult access to the driveway unless you have a small car!"

Lots of noise from the restaurant right below the master bedroom at night and from early in the morning too.

  • "Might be useful to mention how tight the parking is."

We loved the place. Location couldn’t be better. Bigger cars are a squeeze and need confident parking skills! Would be good to have some plastic beakers and plates to take to the beach. Ta.

Many thanks for leaving us your comments. We were pleased to read you enjoyed Quayside and its location. We were only sorry that you had some difficulty with the parking arrangements. We will update the property details to reflect this. We hope you still enjoyed Salcombe and very much look forward to welcoming you back soon. Coast and Country Cottages on behalf of, Property Owner

  • "The house is amazing and we can see how the owner has refurbished it with cate snd attention to detail ."

The pictures do not do the house justice the view of harbour’s coming and going is an all day experience. The ability to swim every morning in sea walk two minutes back fir breakfast is amazing ! In covid times and staff shortages I understand that deep cleaning in short turnaround times is hard I would like to have had cleaning products at the house as we did have to go over the surfaces particularly hand rail of stair case several times to remove grime build up . We also had shoes off at door so a basket or storage box at front door would have been useful . An amazing stay and family get together certainly love to go back a house that is a home excuses joy and calm . Thank you Angelina

  • "We had the most wonderful holiday, the house was better than we could have imagined."

We shall definitely be re booking. My only criticism is the ability to contact you. We found this very frustrating and would wait an average of 15 minutes on hold to a main UK line number before being able to ask questions and then being put on hold whilst they spoke to the Salcombe office. We were given a number for the Salcombe office but this never worked (there was no option 4 to select) and we were always put to the ‘call centre’. It seemed unnecessary always speaking to a third party seeing as there was an office locally with lovely people in it who were willing to help, if only we could have contacted them!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We were terribly sorry to read that you had some difficulty with contacting our local Salcombe office. Our phone system has recently been updated and we can only imagine that the guest notes were yet to be amended with our Salcombe number. We can only apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this must have caused, but were pleased that once you were through, our team were able to resolve the issues you encountered. We hope you were still able to enjoy Salcombe, the stunning views Quayside provides and the local choice of amenities. We very much look forward to welcoming you back soon. • "We loved the property and enjoyed the good quality bed linen, comfortable beds, strong showers and spectacular views."

Location was unbeatable though suspect in the summer with the windows open, it can get quite noisy. In terms of logistics, e-booking the property and collecting keys was a smooth process. The whole thing was very well organised and we were at all times kept informed. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely short break even at this difficult Covid days. Aaron & Cleo

  • "This must be one of the most expensive of Coast and Country's properties and you can see why."

The best location of any rental property in Salcombe (and I've stayed in dozens over the years) - it's been designed to maximise the magnificent views of the estuary and town. Previous feedback has referred to parking space - we parked 3 good sized cars without any difficulty.
