  • "Absolutely fabulous cottage, fully equipped and great communication with the owner when needed."

  • "Beautiful house in a great location in Cadgwith."

The solid stone built house has been renovated and decorated to a very high standard. A lot of thought and effort has gone into making every room unique and lovely. It is also in a good central location in the village with excellent views but doesn't feel overlooked. There is lots of outdoor space and a large garden area ideal for kids to play games (quite rare in this village which is otherwise generally quite squeezed in). There is plenty of room for a big group with en-suite bathrooms for most bedrooms. The owners were very helpful and responsive. They also left us a wonderful welcome basket of fresh local food from the farm shop.. far exceeded anything we have ever had in any other rental. We have stayed in lots of holiday houses and ths is certainly one of (if not the) best...

  • "We had an absolutely fantastic week with family and friends at Louvain."

The house looked great in the photos but it was even better in reality; comfortable, spotless, wonderful views, extremely well equipped and great attention to detail. We did not want for anything and were delighted with the welcome hamper of local produce, the fresh flowers and the delicious homemade cake. It was a really nice touch and very unexpected. We had taken kitchen equipment, cleaning/washing products and basics but we didn't need any of it. Everything had been thought about! A perfect location for exploring the many coastal walks and appreciating the seaviews. Suzy was a wonderful host and communication was great both prior to and after our stay. Thank you so much. We would thoroughly recommend this property.

  • "Best house we have ever stayed in."

Beautiful decor, gorgeous views and spotlessly clean. Welcome pack was delightful and included a homemade strawberry and cream sponge. It’s the little things that make it perfect. Books to read, lots of which Cornish based (nice touch). Well stocked choice of games. Plenty of towels and facilities spot on. Thank you to the owners and the housekeeper for a wonderful stay and for sorting a problem for us that we had caused ourselves. Would recommend this house 100% Cadgewith has a real charm and the locals were so friendly and the Sea shanti music in local pub was very good.

  • "Wonderful property with great sea views."

Exactly as described. Very comfortable with spacious accommodation and its situation in lovely Cadgwith is perfect. The welcome pack was bigger and better than we have ever seen! Absolutely incredible! Owner could not have been more helpful before and during our stay had we needed anything. We didn’t. Certainly a highly recommended property!

We had everything provided for a perfect getaway from it all. Loved using the record player whilst sitting on the window seat gazing at the sea. The cottage was exactly as described.

  • "Our stay at Louvain was absolutely impeccable."

There is nothing at all that could be improved about this holiday destination. Not only was the home BEAUTIFUL, it was very clean and stocked to the brim with all the things you need. The location is perfect for exploring Cornwall, as well as the local area just a walk from the house. Suzy was such a thoughtful host and made us so welcome with so many personalised and caring touches in the property. She made my daughter and I feel so special when our birthdays came and even provided cakes and a present for my 7 year old. We would go back to Louvain in a heartbeat

  • "What can we say about Louvain, well it is a beautiful house with beautiful views, in an idilic location, but most of all we received such a warm welcome from our host not in an intrusive way but in the little touches, the extra care that was shown in the details that made us feel as we were being welcomed as wanted friends We have only praise for this unique experience that was beyond our expectations."

Tastefully decorated and well equipped. Kitchen wonderful. Different areas to sit out to eat/drink at different times of the day. Great outside shower for after the beach.

  • "Photos didn’t do Louvain justice!"

Fabulous accommodation- wonderful home from home: everything you could possibly need and more. If it wasn’t for horrendous journeys ( 7 hours plus, traffic, flooding, thunder storms!!!) we would probably have already booked for next year. Cadgwith itself amazing- everyone so friendly and many lovely walks, near and far, even for a young, arthritic 71 year old. Louvain highly recommended.

  • "Anyone who has booked to stay at Louvain is in for a treat."

The photographs do not do it justice. Absolutely beautiful house with everything you could wish for. We received a warm welcome from the owners of scones, jam and cream along with other goodies to enjoy. Location was perfect, you must have a meal at The Cove Inn where we received a warm welcome and great food. Everything from booking the holiday, contact with the owner and our beautiful accommodation exceeded expectations. Even the weather was kind!

  • "The owner made us feel like guests rather than naughty children being told how to behave."

The first time ever having been asked for any allergies etc and more than willing to help with any difficulty. A lovely hamper was waiting for our arrival with everything local a superb touch. A birthday cake was supplied as a surprise on the day. Clean comfortable could have stayed forever.

  • "The house is amazing!"

Both in terms of the accommodation and the location. The host was welcoming and we had good communications before about check in etc. We had a lovely welcoming basket and a dozen fresh scones on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped and we had everything we need. Cadgwith is a lovely village and having the beach on the doorstep is a huge plus point. Lovely crab sandwiches and pub food in the village. We will definitely return!

  • "The photos and the description of this holiday home simply do not do it justice."

The entire place has been so thoughtful done and the owners clearly have an incredible eye for design. The house had absolutely anything and everything you could possibly need during your stay - we have honestly never stayed anywhere better. The views of the cove are outstanding and we loved you could sit out the front or the back of the house to capture the sun morning or evening. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

  • "We loved Louvain."

A wonderfully decorated and maintained property, spotlessly clean, new unopened items (shower gels, hand wash, washing liquids etc.), a fully equipped kitchen with everything you will possibly need and more, comfy sofas, record players and a couple of great Sonos speakers. Loads of good books too. Our favourite spots were the many windows with cushions to sit on and read books or have coffee overlooking the sea. It was a home away from home. On the days we went out for coastal walks and drives around Cornwall, we were equally excited at the end of the day when it was time to go back to Louvain! Loved it, will surely come back many more times!!
