A bathroom on each floor. Everything you need in the kitchen. Excellent location. Right on the sea front overlooking the bay. A beautiful spot.

  • "The Harbour Retreat was large, spacious and clean and there was everything you could need for your holiday and it was very close to the beach, harbour and shops."

The beds were very comfortable. The bath/shower rooms were clean but the downside to them was the drainage. On the top floor, the shower cubicle drained so slowly you had to knock the shower off while you were shampooing your hair or it would have overflowed. The middle floor shower would only do one shower before it ran cold. The ground floor on suite wet room was always wet as the drainage hole wasn’t adequate. As the wet room didn’t have a window, it was always damp and musty smelling in the bedroom. On saying this, if the shower rooms are sorted, this is a great holiday home.

  • "Lovely home with addition of downstairs bedroom with en suite, always a success for the elderly generation."

Lots of space and a good selection of crockery size - ample cutlery and didn’t even have to pop to the shops to buy additional washing up liquid etc as plenty at hand. Lovey crisp bedding and towels.

  • "The house is clean and tidy and the location is good."

But everything is very tired looking and dated. A welcome pack with tea bags and milk etc would have been much appreciated after a long journey as other properties we'd stayed provided it. But overall we had a comfortable stay.

  • "Our second time in this brilliant house was as enjoyable as the first."

There's lots of room, and the location is excellent - our older children could go to the beach on their own! The good quality washing and drying machines made a big difference as we had almost every day on the beach. We were very comfortable there, had a great holiday and used the little garden for a birthday BBQ. Eyemouth itself is excellent and has everything you need on the doorstep. We also visited Edinburgh by train, so easy to do from Berwick upon Tweed, just up the road.

  • "The pictures did not do this property justice."

We have stayed in Coldingham before but would recommend Eyemouth, as more for the kids to do and so handy for shops and beach. The house was perfect with layout for everyone, I would highly recommend and am sure we will be back again soon.

  • "There was 6 of us and we all thought the property was perfect."

It would have been excellent for 10 easily. The facilities were perfect for each floor the rooms a great size and all the kitchen was absolutely full of equipment. It lacked one small thing, a decent cloth for the cleaning of the surfaces, other than that it was super. It was close to everything especially the Contented Sole where we spent a few evenings.

Dining area was a little dated but not a problem at all. The children, from 7 to 15, loved it as much as we did - so much we have booked again for Summer 22.
