  • "We had an amazing family holiday in this beautiful home, we had 4 generations of our family stay and the house fully met our needs ."

The kitchen had everything we needed to make big family meals each day. The house was exceptionally warm and we didn’t need the fire lit in February! The house is well Located with shops and for us a local EV point for our electric car. Location great, beautiful walks right on your door step . We loved it, and would definately come back and recommend to others.

  • "Lovely house, plenty of room, perfect location for a very short walk to the Co-op, Sainsbury's, local pubs and takeaways."

Petrol station very near too. Warm house when the heating is on. Needs a decent frying pan and tin opener but minor detail. Easy to explore Northumberland and Scotland from the location. Nice back yard with garden furniture in a quiet location.

  • "A great place for our family reunion, & in a great position for walks etc."

Possibly a group with people who like to go to bed early might not like the fact that the stairs go straight up from the sitting room so noise would go up - no problem if the noisy folk are in the large dining area though. The enclosed back yard has a good outdoor seating area & is v safe for dogs.

  • "Absolutely beautiful house in a great location."

The sitting room is comfortable and big for the large group with lovely furnishing. The kitchen is great with the huge table where you can all sit together. It would have been nice to have been able to use the log burner for more than one night without having to provide your own logs. Never have I had a house where you were expected to do this, especially in Feb. (Maybe you could factor this in with the price ) Also having to take glass to the recycling bin which was a car journey from the house was a bit of a task. These are not complaints, just something you may wish to consider. We would stay again and we had a great time.

The house was lovely, very spacious. The beds were really comfortable and the owner very kindly set up the beds to meet our needs. Thank you. Some negatives were, the banister doesn’t go right to the top of the stairs, this was a slight problem for us because we had two elderly ladies with us, it was also wobbled quite a bit! Only two of the five bedrooms had a wardrobe. The towels aren’t very big.

Sleeps 10 comfortably. Haltwhistle has two fish n chip shops, two Indian takeaways and a Chinese takeaway, thats without food the pubs do too. A lovely well equipped kitchen with underfloor heating. Nice rear yard to sit and relax in. Rear parking off the road. A toilet downstairs and two further bathrooms on the first floor. Always hot water at the turn on a tap. A well kept clean and tidy home that made you feel welcome and 'at home' the minute you walked in. Lovely holiday and want to return another year for sure.

We appreciated the welcome pack of milk, bread etc. The property is very well appointed and smartly decorated, and unlike some places all the crockery, cutlery and glasses were new looking and in proper matching sets, rather than the random jumble of old stuff you get in some holiday rents. There was plenty of room in the kitchen diner for us all and plenty of utensils and cookware of sufficient sizes for larger numbers for producing meals in. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms nicely done. Also lots of space in the courtyard for our bikes. Good communication with the owner. Highly recommended.
