Description

Occupying the private west wing, within this Gothic Victorian mansion near the beach in Llanbedrog, The Property self catering accommodation offers an enviable location for groups of up to 10 to get-together on the picturesque Llyn Peninsula. Built in 1857 and originally part of the famous Madryn estate, it is also home to a stunning art gallery and heritage centre, along with a fantastic cafe. Now run by an independent, charitable trust, this is the place for a Warm Welsh Welcome, with soft, golden sand just a short walk away.

Being next door to an art gallery, you will also benefit from having your own private display of artwork, mostly by local artists, along the walls of your accommodation. Living in a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, these artists are often inspired by the views and landmarks, which can be found within a short drive. From hidden coves and charming seaside villages to Bardsey Island and the Snowdonia mountains, there is so much to see. The Wales Coast Path can also be joined from the grounds.

Abersoch (2.5 miles) is another a popular destination with its excellent selection of restaurants, shops and pubs. The harbour town of Pwllheli (4 miles), home to Hafan Pwllheli Marina and its numerous sailing events, also offers a good range of amenities. There is also a wide range of popular attractions nearby, including Glasfryn Parc, Ffestiniog Railway, Cricieth castle and the Italian village of Portmeirion.

Garden

Private patio area with seating to the rear of the property, as well as a gas barbecue. Cafe facilities are literally around the corner in the south wing for treats such as afternoon tea or a light lunch.

Guests are also welcome to use the picnic tables on the main lawn (to the front of the property) when the gallery and café are closed, with views towards Cardigan Bay and the mountains of Snowdonia. The grounds are as impressive as the building itself and are only shared with gallery visitors until 5pm and the occasional evening event.

Your extended garden is Llanbedrog beach with its colourful beach houses, which can be accessed via a lane from the grounds. You can also explore the footpaths that wind their way through the woodland next to the mansion, not to mention the Wales Coast Path which also passes through the grounds.
