Scotland’s National Tourist Routes

Scotland has 12 national tourist routes, which provide visitors the chance to travel on a designated route offering things to see and do, as well as Scottish scenic splendour. These routes are easy to follow and if based on the east of Scotland, then the following 3 routes are well worth doing. The Fife Coastal Route is 85 miles long, travelling from Dunfermline to St Andrews, taking in the East Neuk of Fife and the “home of golf”. The Angus Coastal Route is 58 mile long, travelling from Dundee to Aberdeen, passing the fishing villages and with views of the Angus Glens. The Deeside Tourist Route is 107 miles long, from Aberdeen to Perth, following the river Dee, with Balmoral Castle and Glenshee as highlights.

These are all excellent day trips, and if you are looking for a large holiday house in Scotland,  in the heart of Angus, then this beautiful holiday house near Edzell, offers self-catering accommodation for up to 12 people. With a backdrop of the Angus Glens, this could be a picture postcard of the beauty of Scotland.
