Fancy a break in the country with views of the rolling Borders hills, then this is the ideal place to escape for a weekend in low season or for a week in the summer.
This is a traditional gate lodge at the entrance for a large country house in a 500 acre estate in a rural setting, with an open view to the rolling Border hills beyond. Upgraded in recent years, it combines a traditional cottage feel with fashionable interior design within.
The cottage is accessed off the country road, which it sits in front of, with good open views. Inside, all the rooms are at ground level and it has been fitted and equipped to a high standard. The accommodation consists of a large lounge area with a central feature wood burning stove and TV/DVD, with comfortable sofas and chairs, with a dining table that can seat up to 6 people. Next door is the well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, as well as the utility room. The accommodation consists of two double bedrooms, one single bedroom with fold-out bed available, one bathroom and one shower room. There is parking for 5 cars at the side entrance. In the summer months, garden furniture and a BBQ are available for use. Whilst there are other holiday houses on the estate, residents are welcome to enjoy the woodland walks. Ideal for weekends away in low or mid season or for family holidays in the summer.
