This is an exceptional farmhouse, reminiscent of a French chateau, which is decorated throughout to a high luxury standard, offering spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to ten guests. Set within 600 acres of farmlands in Northumberland by the England/Scotland border, it enjoys stunning views across the river Tweed.
Within, the main front room is the large drawing room with open fire, which includes a TV and a bay window enjoying the views out to the front. The next door front room, is the large modern kitchen, which is designed with living space in mind, complete with breakfast table for more informal dining. There is also a more formal dining room, which is ideal for a special meal. With a ground floor bedroom with access to shower room, which is ideal for any member of the group who cannot manage stairs, whilst the rest of the accommodation is on the floor above. These bedrooms are all to a high standard, with Egyptian cotton sheets on the beds and a surround sound CD/Radio in each room. Outside, there is a lawn to the front and a designated BBQ area to the side. There is parking to the front and side for at least ten cars if required. To the rear of the farmhouse is a farm. The Borders region is known throughout Scotland as the ideal location for a short break destination. Perfect for those wishing to go into the countryside and be active. There are excellent golf courses nearby at Coldstream, with the Roxburgh course at Kelso being a highlight. For those who enjoy fishing, this is renowned in this area, famed for the salmon on the river Tweed. There are good hill walks and mountain biking tracks in the area. Etal Castle is nearby, as is Floors Castle. There are historic abbeys at Melrose, Selkirk and Dryburgh. There is an off-road driving centre near Duns. Those looking for shopping, then Berwick-upon-Tweed is nearby with Edinburgh and all its attractions are only one hour and half away.

If you are driving into Northumberland from the south, the major arterial motorways into Northern England, the M6 and A1(M), although busy are generally free flowing. Using the A1(M), once North of Newcastle, you will move onto smaller roads and an average journey from here to this property would take approximately two hours.
