With understated elegance and style, antique furniture and fine portraits, this former shooting lodge looks traditional, but also houses a games room with indoor heated pool.

In a spectacular setting on a 34,000 acre estate, this Victorian shooting lodge is surrounded by Highland scenery overlooking Loch Rannoch. With period furniture and fine pictures, it is decorated in the traditional country house manner.

Please note all self-catering bookings include housekeeping and the services of a professional cook, whilst food is charged at cost (with consultation with the cook regarding your requirements).

Travelling nearly the length of loch Rannoch, this serviced holiday house can be found just off this road in a remote setting. On entering, there is a traditional drawing room with open fire and comfortable sofas. Next door is a secondary sitting room, which is used a TV room, with a study beyond. There is an elegant dining room that seats 10 adults, which is situated near the large country style kitchen. A conservatory joining these rooms, also acts a breakfast room for a more informal meal. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are to be found on the first and second floors. There are delightful gardens within the grounds and beyond the courtyard is the 2-storey building that houses the heated indoor swimming pool at ground level, and the games room above with full size snooker table and gym equipment. This is the perfect space for some sporting family competition. There is also fishing available from the bank of the loch which is payable by permit locally. This is an ideal holiday house for those who are looking for space to themselves and those who like their holidays with activities.

Situated in the heart of Scotland, Perthshire is famous for its fine scenery, from vast farmland to mountainous horizons. This venue is ideal for those wishing to walk, use their mountain bikes and fish, all of which can be done on the estate. Going further afield, there is Pitlochry, where there are tourist activities including Edradour Distillery and the internationally renowned House of Bruar. There are some excellent local golf courses including Pitlochry, Blair Atholl and Dunkeld. For those looking for culture and more extensive shopping, there is Perth, which is a delight.

Due to the remoteness of the property we advise any groups booking in the months of October and April that they should have at least one 4WD vehicle in case of snow. At all other times, use of car hire is essential, due to the remote location of the property. For those flying into Scotland, the closest airports to the property are Inverness approximately 65 miles away and Dundee approximately 90 miles away and hiring a car or 4WD couldn’t be more convenient if you are choosing to travel by air. There are a variety of well known car rental companies within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Inverness and similar services can be arranged for arrivals at Dundee. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike. All the major railway stations have car hire companies located in situ, enabling the transition from carriage to car to be as stress free as possible. The closest train station to the property is Rannoch, 8 miles away.
