This exceptional 19th century steading lodge, within a courtyard setting, has been refurbished to the highest standard and offers luxurious lodge accommodation. Set in a Highland glen, with hills, forests and a loch, it offers rural tranquillity for those wishing to explore this scenic part of Scotland.

Within, there is a stunning drawing room, filled with fine furniture and period antiques, with open fire, ideal for entertaining your guests of an evening. Next door, is a secondary sitting room with TV, ideal for children or to catch up on the news of the day. The dining room is a substantial elegant room, where all 12 of you can be dine finely. Whilst the modern and well equipped kitchen, complete with AGA, is the hub of the house. The accommodation is all on the first floor, with five twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms, with the option of converting an additional room as a bedroom for a live-in cook or for children. Situated in the idyllic Scottish Highlands, close to Loch Ness, this beautiful property is a popular destination for touring the Highlands or activity based holidays.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
The property offers accessible accommodation only forty minutes drive from Inverness. Closer at hand is Loch Ness and Castle Urquhart, with trips to the Culloden Visitor Centre and Fort George highly recommended. The capital of the Highlands, Inverness provides a bustling hub and perfect day trip to catch up with civilisation, culture and shopping. For children, the Inverness Aquadrome provides aquatic fun. Nessieland is available for those who want a close investigation of the Loch Ness monster.  Activities in the area include excellent hill walking, horse-riding, mountain biking trails, fishing on the private estate or a more varied selection of fishing further afield. More extreme sports are also available for the more adventure minded. The Moray Firth provides dolphin watch tours. Golf can be found locally at the Torvean golf club or at the internationally renowned Castle Stuart golf club.

For those flying into Scotland, the closest airport to this property is Inverness 24 miles away and hiring a car or 4WD couldn’t be more convenient if you are choosing to travel by air. There are a variety of well known car rental companies within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Inverness. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike. All the major railway stations have car hire companies located in situ, enabling the transition from carriage to car to be as stress free as possible. The sleeper train can be caught from London to Inverness, the closest train station to the property, but takes approximately twelve hours, although car hire can be easily arranged for your arrival, requiring only a short drive for the remainder of your journey.
