Accessed via this traditional holiday village with strong associations with the Royal family, is the short tree-lined driveway to the house. On entering, you will find a warm welcome with an open fire in the reception hall, which is the hub of the house, with rooms leading off and stairs to the floor above. The drawing room is a more formal room with an open fire, which leads to the impressive dining room, which can seat twelve people in comfort and style. The well equipped kitchen is to be found to the rear of the house and it is ideal for catering for this number. An additional sitting room is available to the two bedrooms on the ground floor, which share a bathroom. The rest of the accommodation is on the floor above and consist of two double bedrooms en-suite and a further sitting room with two bedrooms off it sharing a bathroom. Every double bedroom has a four poster bed and pocket sprung mattress from Hypnos, whilst within the house there are 7 flat screen plasma TVs, with Sky channels and DVD players. The gardens consist of lawn area to the front and side, with hard surface area to the side, which is ideal for housing a marquee for an event or wedding. Please note that there is a courtyard section to the rear of the house, which is occupied by the owners. Garden furniture is provided in the summer months and there is plenty of parking available for all your guests. This is an ideal venue for an upmarket family holiday, hosting a wedding, an activity trip to include some fishing and golfing or for a corporate break.
WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
Royal Deeside is famous around the world as the traditional holiday destination for the British Royal family, with Balmoral Castle and the church at Crathie being popular with visitors who wish to “Royal watch”. However, there is so much to explore in this area if you are a tourist, with Braemar and Ballater, being the focal points. A trip to Royal Lochnagar Distillery and the many castles such as Braemar Castle and Corgarff Castle. For those wishing to fish, there is the river Dee and permits are available in advance. For golfers there are some charming local golf courses including Ballater and Aboyne. But this area is most well known for the magnificent mountains and those wishing to go walking and climbing, then the Cairngorm mountain range starts here.
