Built in 1782 by Francis Farquharson, who had been captured in 1746 at Culloden and been imprisoned and exiled for 20 years. He built this house at the foot of Craggendarroch and then went about creating and planning the village of Ballater.

The accommodation spans across both floors offering comfortable and cosy retreats, with evident Scottish charm.
