If you are looking for the perfect large country house in a wonderful west coast location, with lots of rooms, lots of space and lots of things to do – then this is the one for you.

This is a substantial country house which sits in 20 acres of grounds in a stunning west coast setting. Built in the late 18th century, it is now a large holiday house, with mountain backdrop and coastal landscapes and is perfect for a family holiday.

Beautifully decorated within, including the large dining hall with a capacity to seat up to 24 people, which is a wonderful space to entertain all your guests. Then there are a number of reception rooms, including a large drawing room with open fire, a further sitting room and TV room, which is ideal for smaller children and the main games room with full size snooker table. The large well equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing fine feasts, whilst the additional breakfast room is perfect for feeding children or enjoying late breakfasts. All of the accommodation is situated on the first and second floors, with a selection of bedrooms to cater for large groups. In addition, there is a sauna on the first floor. With plenty of parking to the front of the house, to the side overlooking the private garden, can be found a hot tub (charged as extra). To the side of the house is a communal indoor swimming pool, which has shared access from behind, with two further holiday houses a short walk from the rear of the house. There is also a communal tennis court in the field. It is also possible to combine the houses together and have an even bigger group of people if required, or they can be rented separately. It is an ideal venue for a large gathering or for those who enjoy an activity based holiday.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

Fishing is very popular, with the opportunity for fly fishing for salmon and sea trout on the River Ruel, with fishing permits available locally for the river and the local lochs. Horse-riding, sailing and other watersports are just a few miles away at Portavadie Marina and Colintraive.
