With an indoor heated swimming pool, games room and sauna, this popular holiday house on the scenic west coast entertains all ages, whatever the weather.

With a stunning mountain backdrop, this delightful holiday house, sits in three acres of mature grounds on the edge of the magnificent Ardgour peninsula, making this the perfect location to explore the untouched landscape of the Scottish Highlands, with its breathtaking scenery set close to Loch Linnhe.

Lovingly decorated, this purpose built holiday house built in 2003, offers comfortable accommodation suitable for family gatherings and fishing parties alike. The indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and games room with pool table offers entertainment for all ages. Cook evening feasts in the well-equipped modern kitchen, and enjoy them in the comfortable dining room with French windows opening onto the patio. The sitting room has an open fire, making this the perfect place to gather and plan the day ahead. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and two twin bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms. A sofa-bed is available to be used in the games room if required. There is also a patio area with garden furniture and a barbeque. The lawn to the front overlooks an enclosed burn, with mixed woodlands to the side and rear. There is additional accommodation for up to ten people available in another similar lodge, just out of sight, on the estate.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

The Lochaber area is known as the “outdoor capital of the Highlands”, due to the geography of this region and has become a huge hit for mountain bikers, climbers, canoeists and walkers. The Nevis Range Mountain resort is a year round experience and has ski and snowboarding, high wire experiences, forest walks, mountain climbing, mountain biking tracks, family cycling tracks, and paragliding. In fact everything a family could choose from on holiday. For those wishing to fish, loch and sea fishing is available. Fort William itself, has many shops and restaurants, as well as the Ben Nevis Distillery and for golfers there is an excellent 18-hole golf course. The area is also rich in historical sites, with the Commando Monument nearby and superb tourist day trips for your group to arrange to Glenfinnan, Arisaig, Oban, Loch Ness and Caledonian Canal. As well as island trips to the islands of Mull, Coll and Iona.

For those flying into Scotland, the closest airport to this property is Inverness 73 miles away and hiring a car or 4WD couldn’t be more convenient if you are choosing to travel by air. There are a variety of well known car rental companies within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Inverness airport. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike. All the major railway stations have car hire companies located in situ, enabling the transition from carriage to car to be as stress free as possible. The sleeper train can be caught from London to Fort William, the closest train station to the property, which takes approximately twelve and a half hours and car hire can be easily arranged for your arrival, requiring only a short drive for the remainder of your journey.
