Beautifully presented, this semi-detached keeper’s cottage, originally built in 1861, has been carefully restored to provide comfortable accommodation. Accessed by a twelve mile private road, with stunning mountain scenery, just a short drive from Fort William it offers a breathtaking holiday retreat.

Tastefully decorated with cottage charm felt throughout, this property is ideal for small families or fishing groups alike. The modern kitchen diner and large dining room provides ample space to prepare and enjoy evening meals and the cosy, wood panelled sitting room, complete with wood burner, is the perfect area for relaxing after a day on the lochs.

The accommodation spans across both floors providing comfortable and tranquil spaces to retire, with a shower room and Victorian style bathroom

Additional accommodation for a further eight people is available in the adjoining cottage.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

This is ideal for family groups who wish to have a wilderness experience, or for those who enjoy activity based holidays. Within walking distance of the house there is the estate stables and there is horse-riding available. The estate has 8 “Munro’s” and offers excellent hill walking for all types of walkers. There is also the bonus of being one of the very few able to drive to Corrour railway station, as only residents on this private estate can do this.

Please be aware that whilst the 12 mile private road is an excellent surface in normal conditions, that in winter months it is advised that 4WD vehicles are more suitable. The estate make every effort to keep the road open, and will assist where they can, but cannot be held responsible for all vehicular access.

For those flying into Scotland, the closest airport to this property is Inverness 81 miles away and hiring a car or 4WD couldn’t be more convenient if you are choosing to travel by air. There are a variety of well known car rental companies within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Inverness. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike. All the major railway stations have car hire companies located in situ, enabling the transition from carriage to car to be as stress free as possible. The sleeper train can be caught from London to Inverness, but takes approximately twelve hours and car hire can be easily arranged for your arrival, requiring approximately half an hours’ drive for the remainder of your journey. The closest train station to the property is Corrour only four miles away.
