Take your camera and hiking boots to this delightfully quirky 16th century castle tower house and enjoy some magnificent scenery and mountain walks.

Fully restored in 1985, this stunning, picturesque castle provides a magnificent setting to relax and unwind. This fairytale castle, standing at the top of a steep bank in an acre of rugged country gardens, is a typical 16th century Scottish tower house built to a simple L-plan, with a main block of three storeys, a garret and a circular stairway. Beautifully presented and only a short drive from Aviemore, the castle provides the perfect escape for families and golfing parties alike.

Well maintained, the castle has retained many original features including wood panelling and an open fireplace and is brimming with period furniture to provide a grand setting for all types of occasions. The ground floor vaulted room, has a well equipped kitchen with dining area, providing an atmospheric setting for guests to enjoy grand banquets or simple suppers. Whilst on the floor above, is the traditionally decorated sitting room, which would have been the Great Hall, which offers the perfect space for evening entertainment. The accommodation is situated across the upper floors and has a minimum occupancy for 6 adults + 2 children (in 1 four poster double room, 2 twin rooms and 1 bunk room) or a maximum occupancy of 6 adults + 4 children (1 four poster double room, 2 twin rooms and 2 bunk rooms).  The second bunk bedroom is normally locked off, but if required can be made available as extra for an additional £50 on top of the price generated by the website.  Should adults wish to sleep in the bunk beds that is fine, however, they are considered suitable for children only.
