This medieval castle, with its stone turnpike stairs and turrets, is everything an authentic castle should be. Here you can be king or queen of your own Scottish castle!

Sheltered within the trees below the distinct shape of Bennachie, is this typical late fifteenth century tower house built to a simple L-plan, with three storeys, a garret and a stone turnpike circular stairway. A further wing was added in the eighteenth century, and the castle with its turrets has a fairytale quality from the outside.

Within there is a formal drawing room with open fire, as well as a snug, which is ideal for playing cards or keeping your own counsel. The dining room is a beautiful wood panelled room, with open fire and dining table that can seat all 14 guests. Whilst next door is a further secondary sitting room, a further less formal TV room is also available, which is ideal for children. The well equipped kitchen, with breakfasting area can be found at ground level. The accommodation is mostly on the floors above the first floor with a selection of double and twin bedrooms, though there is one double bedroom on the first floor. The four poster double bed can be found on the second floor. Throughout this old fashioned castle you will find nooks and crannies housing small bathrooms, as well as many original historical features, such as low door frames. The private grounds consist of lawns and mixed woodlands with a stream running through it. The castle is ideal for family occasions, wedding groups or for corporate events.
