062 Unique Fishing Station, Angus
Sleeps 9+5 Accepts pets Does not allow smoking

It is possible to see dolphins out at sea from this unique and interesting house – and you have your own private beach, making this a perfect setting for a family holiday.

This is a 200 year old fishing station built over an ice house, which now forms a unique holiday house that is full of character. Sitting above the sea, with stunning views towards St Cyrus and Montrose beyond, there is also a path from the garden down to a private beach.

Built over three floors, the whole house is full of charm and has a quirky style. There is a country style kitchen, complete with AGA, with a conservatory off this room, which is ideal for dining in the summer months to enjoy the amazing view across the sea. Then on separate floors there is a small sitting room, a music room, a larger sitting room, a games room with table tennis table and a sauna room. There is a further dining area sited on the gallery above the former ice house section. The accommodation spans across each of the floors, and includes a family room, a double room en-suite, a cosy integrated box bed double room, a twin room, a single room and 2 double sofa-beds. Surrounded by fields and with an open view of the sea, there is plenty of parking and a patio area with BBQ to the front of the house. This is ideal for family holidays and for those who enjoy the sea.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
Whilst the Angus coastline offers miles of sandy beaches, with the highlights being Lunan Bay and St Cyrus, at this property there is your own private beach accessible from the house as well. The five Angus glens are a haven for hill walkers, with the choice of Glen Isla, Glen Prosen, Glen Lethnot, Glen Esk and Glen Clova to choose from. For golfers, there is the golf course at Montrose or there is the championship course of Carnoustie nearby. For those seeking city-life, the bustling city of Dundee provides cultural divergence to suit most tastes, or further afield is Aberdeen. Additionally, the Fettercairn Distillery will tantalise the taste buds of any Scotch Whisky enthusiast. Paintballing at Edzell will offer endless hours of entertainment for younger members of the family.
