If you are looking for a property that is unique – then you have come to the right place. You can even see the dolphins in the sea from the comfort of this house – and you have your own private beach.

This is a 200 year old fishing station built over an ice house, which is integrated as one unique house full of character, with stunning views across the sea. Built on three floors, this family owned holiday property includes a kitchen, sun room, dining room, sitting room, music room, a further sitting room, games room and a sauna. The bedrooms include a family room, a double room en-suite, an integrated box bed double room, a twin room, a single room and then 2 double sofa-beds. Ideal for family holidays and for those who enjoy the sea.

HISTORY BEHIND ICE HOUSES - In the late 1790’s/early 1800’s the process of keeping fish changed from sousing in vinegar to being frozen with the introduction of ice houses. Ice was frozen locally in large quantities over the winter and then held in these ice barns close to the sea. The fish would be netted and immediately stored and frozen before being shipped to London. This ice barn had a fishing station built above it – so the workers could be brought in and work here months on end without going home. Today it has been adapted to residential use whilst still retaining its original roots.
