Traditional Sporting Lodge,
Perthshire
Sleeps 20
Hidden in a dramatic, secluded highland setting this fabulous sporting lodge combines the ability to entertain, with the opportunity to unwind in a wilderness setting.
This is a traditional sporting lodge, set in a dramatic 145,000 acre Highland estate, 8 miles up a private track, from the village of Blair Atholl. Centrally placed within the V-shaped glen, with heather clad steep hills on either side with a river rumbling past, it is a perfect place to be based to explore the hills beyond and for those wishing a large holiday house in a wilderness setting, with relatively good access.
Within there is a comfortable drawing room with open fire, with feature bay window, with a superb view down the scenic glen. Next door is a smaller sitting room with TV, ideal for younger members of the group. The dining room, with open fire, has a table that can seat 20 people, which will be perfect for any grand banquet. Whilst the well equipped kitchen is based on a small scale commercial kitchen, and is suitable for cooking for a larger group size. The accommodation spans across both floors, with three bedrooms on the ground floor and eight on the floor above. All the bedrooms are in the traditional Highland lodge style offering comfort, over style. The house has full central heating throughout, and whilst it may be cold outside, there is always a warm welcome inside. There is plenty of parking to the rear, with a further cluster of estate cottages beyond. Please note that the lodge is closed in January and February of each year.
