024b Scottish Castle Apartment, Angus
Sleeps 10 Accepts pets Does not allow smoking
This is everything you would imagine a castle in Scotland to be - imposing from the outside, but warm and friendly on the inside. In fact, so wonderful, you will not want to leave.

This exceptional castle sits centrally within its own private estate on the east coast of Scotland. Built in 1790, on the site of the previous 14th century castle, it has commanding views over all it surveys on the 1,200 acres of private grounds. There are two apartments within the castle available for holiday letting, with this one being the slightly larger of the two. Bookings can be for weekly rentals, weekends Friday – Monday or for mid-week options Monday – Friday.

Accessed by a separate internal staircase, this beautifully refurbished apartment can be found on the second floor of this breathtaking fortress. On offer is a delightful dining room, which is ideal for 10 people to host evening feasts, with the large drawing room next door, with comfortable sofas and an open fire, to warm everyone up on a chilly evening. All the rooms are tastefully furnished in keeping with the period of the castle and are brimming with antiques and finery. The five bedrooms with five bathrooms, include a fine four poster double bedroom, two double rooms and two twin rooms which provide supreme comfort for all the guests. (Please note two further bedrooms can be made available on request as extra – please ask the office for details). Within the grounds, there is a designated area allocated to residents for outside entertainment and a tennis court that is available at set times.

The river South Esk, meanders through the estate providing five miles of double bank fishing to suit all abilities, from the inexperienced to the expert, and details can be provided to book this as extra, subject to availability, once the accommodation has been booked.
