Approached via a private road with hard surface track, the parking for up to 6 cars can be found to the rear. On entering the lodge, there is a comfortable reception hall with
wood burning stove which leads onto the main sitting room with TV, which enjoys excellent views out to the countryside. The hub of the house will be the
open-plan living space which houses the well equipped kitchen, dining area with table that seats up to 12 people and further living space with comfortable seating in front of the wood burning stove. With
ground floor accommodation of one double room with shower room next door, there are further bedrooms at this level accessed via some steps which includes one double room and one single room. Upstairs there are two twin rooms and a single room. With garden furniture to the front of the house, it is ideal on a summer evenings to enjoy the views on offer, which includes a pond which is a
haven for wildlife. To the rear is a private tennis court, which is available for use. This is an ideal base to have a family holiday to discover Perthshire and
a complimentary family pass to Blair Castle is included as part of the booking and is at the house on arrival.
WHAT TO DO IN THE AREAPerthshire is renowned for its scenery, and activities such as pony trekking, guided land rover tours, and fishing on the river Tay or hill lochs, can all be arranged on the Blair Atholl estate as extra. Walking and mountain biking are very popular in this area. For those who golf, there is an excellent local 9-hole course at Blair Atholl, with local courses at Pitlochry and Dunkeld. For those looking for shopping experiences, then the internationally renowned
House of Bruar is closeby, or a trip into Pitlochry will find a diverse range available. The
Edradour distillery can also be found in Pitlochry, which is ideal for the whisky enthusiast. Perth is only half an hour away for those seeking culture and shopping.
