With ever-changing views across the glittering Loch Ard stretching to the magnificent Ben Lomond, this delightful holiday house is an idyllic place to spend your holiday.
Situated in the Trossachs, this is a charming country house by the edge of Loch Ard, set amongst glorious scenery with Ben Lomond in the distance. Formerly a country house hotel, it enjoys the standards of a hotel within, but is available on a self-catering basis.

Recently refurbished and retaining its character and charm, this large holiday house is ideal for large family gatherings and activity breaks. Within, there is a substantial dining room, which seats up to 20 people, which leads onto a sun room, with wonderful westerly views. The large sitting room, with wood burning stove, has the traditional feature bar and is the best place to gather as a group. There is also a games room with pool table and a smaller TV room, making these rooms ideal for the younger members of the group. The kitchen area is commercial kitchen, with lots of storage space and pantry areas. There is one bedroom at ground level, which is the courtyard room, a twin room. (Whilst there is another ground floor twin room available as extra if required). The rest of the comfortable accommodation can be found on the first and second floors. Set within 5 acres of private grounds overlooking the loch, there is adequate parking for everyone. The area is half an hour from historic Stirling, and whether you wish to go touring, walking or going out onto the loch, there are so many activities you can choose from when you are based here. 

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
With access to its own beach onto Loch Ard, the area is renowned for watersports, with canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing and windsurfing available here. Walking in the Trossachs is a popular activity with many good hikes and walks to be recommended, including Ben Venue and Ben Ledi. Fishing on Loch Ard, is by permit and brown trout and pike can be caught here. For golfers, there are golf courses nearby at Aberfoyle and Callander. For mountain bikers, then the 15 mile trail at Glenfinglas is a must. Historic sites in the area include Doune Castle, the Wallace Monument and the inspiring Stirling Castle. For whisky afficionados, the two that are nearest are the Glengowne distillery and the Deanston distillery. Glasgow is 30 miles away for shopping and culture.

There are a variety of well known car rental companies situated within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Glasgow and Edinburgh. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. North of Glasgow you start moving into smaller country roads which weave their way through the hills and woodlands of the Trossachs. An average journey from north of the Glasgow city bypass to this property is likely to take approximately 40 minutes. The closest station with car hire facilities available on site (or within short taxi/walking distance) would be Stirling, approximately 23 miles from the property.
