An air of Edwardian bonhomie exudes this beautiful house within the wood panelled walls which is transferred to all who stay here. Just the perfect place to relax! 

Built in 1909, this beautiful Arts and Crafts designed house is a very special place indeed. Whilst it has been refurbished, it remains mostly unaltered and its period charm with original wood panelling and authentic fireplaces, gives a sense of stepping back in time to an era where the pace of life was more genteel.

The sitting room is a large airy room, with open fire, snug area and French windows opening out to the delightful gardens. Next door is the TV room, which is ideal for children, whilst adults are being entertained elsewhere. The elegant dining room, can seat up to 12 people and is situated next to the kitchen. Here there is a country style kitchen with table and additional pantry and larder for space. All the bedrooms are on the first floor, and include one four poster double room, three further double rooms, two twin rooms, two bathrooms and a shower room. It is set within mature gardens and grounds with a croquet lawn, with a river running by, within view of the local golf course. Situated between the Angus coastline and the undulating glens on the East coast of Scotland, between Dundee and Aberdeen. This is a perfect venue to enjoy a beautiful house in peaceful surroundings for a week on holiday with your family, or for just a weekend, but you will wish you stayed longer!

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
The five Angus glens are a haven for hill walkers, with the choice of Glen Isla, Glen Prosen, Glen Lethnot, Glen Esk and Glen Clova to choose from. Whilst the Angus coastline offers miles of sandy beaches, with the highlights being Lunan Bay and St Cyrus. For golfers, the golf course of Edzell is visible from the house or there is the championship course of Carnoustie nearby. For those seeking city-life, the bustling city of Dundee provides cultural divergence to suit most tastes, or further afield is Aberdeen. Additionally, the Fettercairn Distillery will tantalise the taste buds of any Scotch Whisky enthusiast. Paintballing at Edzell will offer endless hours of entertainment for younger members of the family.

There are a variety of well known car rental companies that will provide car hire at either airport for your arrival. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike.
