This elegant Georgian mansion house, with its 13th century stone spiral staircase at the core of the building, is a well appointed historic house. Brimming with period features and antique furniture, this magnificent mansion house will be the perfect venue for your family holiday, intimate wedding or weekend away.

On arrival via the tree lined drive, you will be met by the professional housekeeper, who manages and maintains the house. Whilst the bookings are on a self-catering basis, if other services are required, like catering or additional housekeeping then this can also be arranged as extra. The main feature of the house is the large drawing room which was added in the 1920’s and is a super space for social gatherings. Elsewhere there are a number of secondary sitting rooms, before entering the large dining room which has the capacity to dine up to 30 people around a table. The large country kitchen with Aga and additional range with gas hob and double oven is well equipped to cater for large groups. There is also a billiard room with full size billiard table. This large holiday house has thirteen bedrooms, with two bedrooms on the lower ground floor, whilst the remaining accommodation is on the first floor. In the summer months, guests can choose to use an outdoor swimming pool complete with slide and summer house. There are 16 acres of private extensive grounds, with the garden being well maintained and private. (Additional accommodation for up to four people in an estate cottage may also be available as extra on request).

Situated in the heart of Scotland, Perthshire is famous for its fine scenery, from vast farmland to mountainous horizons. There are golf courses to suit all abilities with nearby Forfar and Alyth, or further afield the championship course of Carnoustie. One of Scotland’s most prominent salmon fishing rivers, the River Tay offers opportunities to suit all abilities, from the inexperienced to the expert fisherman. For those looking for culture and shopping, Perth or Dundee are nearby. Glamis Castle and Scone Palace are in the vicinity.

The closest station with car hire facilities available on site (or within short taxi/walking distance) would be Dundee, approximately twelve miles from the property. This station is on the East coast mainline that runs between London and Aberdeen which takes approximately six hours.
