With undisturbed and breathtaking views across Loch Ness, this elegant Victorian country house, built in 1865, has been sympathetically refurbished from a country house hotel. Based on the south side of the loch, this impressive large country house provides a relaxed air and comfort for all, with an extraordinary view over the water and hills beyond.

Within there is a large, modern and well equipped kitchen and large dining room, capable of seating up to 22 guests, which is perfect for preparing and enjoying feasts for all the family. The generous sitting room, alongside the bar area with pool table, has ample space for evening entertainment. A TV room is available for children or adults alike. All the accommodation is on the floor above and has been tastefully furnished in a modern and chic manner throughout. In the main section, there are 7 double rooms with en suite shower rooms, 1 twin room with en-suite shower room, 1 bunk room with en-suite shower room and 1 single room with 2 further bathrooms. In the wing section there are two double rooms, one twin room and 1 shower room. With a magnificent setting on the hillside overlooking Loch Ness, this delightful country house is ideal for a family holiday, weekends away or those wishing to base themselves within this scenic area for touring.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

Loch Ness area is famed throughout the world for its Loch Ness Monster, and boat trips on the loch are a very popular activity. Sightseeing at Castle Urquhart, Culloden and taking in the city of Inverness will be on the agenda. Inverness has a diverse range of shopping and culture to experience or to just enjoy a cup of coffee on the riverside. For golfers there are good courses in Inverness and Nairn or the new course at Castle Stuart. Plenty of outdoor activities can be accessed from this location, including canoeing and rafting. Further afield on the Moray Firth, there is a resident population of bottle nose dolphins and boat trips can be organised for dolphin watch trips. The Castle Trail and Whisky Trail are excellent day trips as well.
