This Palladian style Georgian mansion, is a large country house situated in its own three acres of grounds, with a westerly aspect. Located in the countryside near Melrose, this charming country house has recently been refurbished, yet still feels like a family home.

The impressive pitch pine staircase in the grand entrance carries a traditional country house ambience throughout the property. The drawing room with open fire is an elegant room with delightful views to the front and side, whilst the other large front room houses the substantial dining room that can seat up to 24 people. Beyond this are a secondary sitting room and a traditional country house kitchen, which can cater for groups of this size. All the accommodation is situated on the first and second floors and includes twelve bedrooms and five bathrooms. (There is also a ballroom on the ground floor in the closed-off section of the house to the rear, which is available as extra if required on request for particular events and functions only.) With a well kept enclosed garden and grounds, with plenty of parking, it really has a feel of being in the country. This delightful country house is ideal for a family holiday, an event or occasion including a wedding, or for those wishing to base themselves within this popular short break destination.

The Borders region is known throughout Scotland as the ideal location for a short break destination. Perfect for those wishing to go into the countryside and be active. There are excellent golf courses nearby including Minto, Melrose and St Boswells. For those who enjoy fishing, this is renowned in this area, famed for the salmon on the river Tweed. There are good hill walks and mountain biking tracks in the area. There are historic abbeys at Melrose, Selkirk and Dryburgh. Floors Castle can be found at Kelso. Those looking for city life, then Edinburgh and all its attractions are only one hour away.
