Guests have been known to sit in this lovely house all day and just watch the magnificent view of Ailsa Craig, and the way it seems to change colour all the time. Whilst there is so much else to do – there is no doubt that the view is breathtaking.

Built in the late 1700’s this delightful Georgian country house, situated in its own grounds boasts spectacular views out to Ailsa Craig and back across the rolling Ayrshire landscape. Famed for hosting the British Open Golf Championships, its rugged terrain of hills and over sixty miles of sheltered coastline, only a short drive from Glasgow, Ayrshire provides the perfect location for all sorts of gatherings and special occasions.

Beautifully presented, retaining traditional charm and style, magnificent country house provides perfect accommodation for family gatherings and golfing parties alike. The spacious, well equipped, country style kitchen is well suited to preparing evening banquets which can be enjoyed in the dining room, complete with wood burning stove, capable of seating all twelve guests. The large drawing room, with open fire, alongside the games room with pool table provides ample space for evening entertainment and relaxation.

All of the accommodation is situated on the first and second floors, offering comfortable and spacious retreats, accompanied with traditional styled bathrooms.

Use of a car is essential, to discover the true beauty of the surrounding areas. For those flying into Scotland, the closest airports to this property are Glasgow 54 miles away and Prestwick 22 miles away and hiring a car or 4WD couldn’t be more convenient if you are choosing to travel by air. There are a variety of well known car rental companies situated within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Glasgow and such arrangements for car hire can also be made for arrivals at Prestwick. If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing. Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike. All the major railway stations have car hire companies located in situ, enabling the transition from carriage to car to be as stress free as possible. The sleeper train can be caught from London to Glasgow, which takes approximately seven and a half hours and car hire can be easily arranged for your arrival, with a further hours’ drive to get to your destination, although trains can be caught to Girvan, only four miles from the property.
