Today, there is accommodation within for up to 25 people. There is additional accommodation on the estate, which makes the accommodation up to 31 people.
The house is available on a serviced basis for group bookings for all types of events. The main boardroom comfortably seats 16 and is ideal for Director's meetings, for the day and/or evening. The dining room can seat up to 60 people or the drawing room can be set-up to seat up to 150 people. The house itself can only host religious services, but if you wish a marquee to be in place, then civil ceremonies can be performed within the grounds. It is set within its 3,000 acre private estate and has more than 400 acres of gardens and grounds to discover and enjoy.
The core of the house is a castellated tower which is thought to have been commenced in 1105, with a second tower being added behind it in 1202. It was originally a moated turret with drawbridge but various additions have now masked this feature. Additions have been made throughout the generations; in 1350, in 1617 and again in 1668. The 3-storey East Wing was added to increase the family accommodation in the 1700's. Some major reconstruction was undertaken at the end of the 18th and start of the 19th century to alter the roof lines of the house and reduce the stress points, but in spite of these alterations the original structure is still definable.
