The county of Moray is a land of rolling hills, castles, flowing rivers and a coastline of excellent beaches with a chance to see a dolphin or two and by staying at this lovely cottage you will be in an ideal position to enjoy all of this.
Built in 1916, this gate lodge sits at the entrance of the drive to the main house, situated within 2,500 acres of private estate grounds. With its own garden, it is surrounded by mixed woodlands.
On entering the 2-storey building is the hall, dining room with table that seats 4 people and open fire, sitting room with TV, family bathroom, kitchen and back door. Upstairs are the two twin bedrooms.
WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA
The cottage is located close to a local fish farm, as well as to the river Lossie and is an ideal base to tour the Castle Trail and the Malt Whisky Trail. For golfers there are local courses at Elgin and Forres, and the championship course at Nairn. For families, the Moray Firth offers some good beaches, as well as the chance to go dolphin watching. This is a good base for all types of holidays.
