Built in the 18th century, this delightful country house is surrounded by mixed woodlands and boasts stunning views of the rolling Ayrshire landscape. Famed for hosting the British Open Golf Championships, its rugged terrain of hills and over sixty miles of sheltered coastline only a short drive from Glasgow, provides the perfect location for all sorts of gatherings and special occasions.

Beautifully presented, retaining traditional charm and style, this delightful country house provides perfect accommodation for family gatherings and golfing parties alike. The large, well equipped, country style kitchen is well suited to preparing evening banquets which can be enjoyed in the dining area, capable of seating up to twelve guests. The library, games room with pool table and darts board and the luxuriously decorated drawing room offer ample space for evening entertainment and relaxation.

All of the accommodation is situated on the first and second floors, providing comfortable and cosy retreats.

The majestic granite mountains and tranquil waters of the Firth of Clyde are perfect for ramblers, fishermen and sailing enthusiasts alike.

For those flying into Scotland, the closest airports to this property are Glasgow 64 miles away and Prestwick 32 miles away and hiring a car or 4WD couldn’t be more convenient if you are choosing to travel by air. There are a variety of well known car rental companies situated within walking distance of the arrivals terminal at Glasgow and such arrangements for car hire can also be made for arrivals at Prestwick.

If you are driving into Scotland from the south, the major arterial motorway into Scotland, the M74, although busy is generally free flowing.

Trains these days can also be an extremely accessible and pleasurable means of transport into Scotland for individuals and groups alike. All the major railway stations have car hire companies located in situ, enabling the transition from carriage to car to be as stress free as possible. The sleeper train can be caught from London to Glasgow, which takes approximately seven and a half hours and car hire can be easily arranged for your arrival, with a further hours’ drive to get to your destination, although trains can be caught to Girvan, only nine miles from the property.
