This is Scottish scenery at its very best and it can all be viewed from the comfort of your armchair in front of a roaring fire. Enjoy this wilderness experience.

This large sporting lodge, built in 1972, is situated in a stunning wilderness setting of hill, river and glen, with a south facing aspect. It is accessed up a private four mile single track road in the heart of the Cairngorm national park on a 12,000 acre sporting estate.

On arrival, the lodge sits in the heart of the glen, whilst the private road continues on into the hills beyond. Entering at ground level, is the reception hall with warming wood burning stove and a large drawing room with open fire and enclosed bar area, ideal for all of your group to gather together. The elegant dining room, which can seat up to 16 people, is next door to the large well equipped kitchen, which will be the hub of the house. Adjoining the main lodge is the apartment, which is ground floor only and this includes a kitchen with living and dining space, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, two single rooms and a bathroom. This section is ideal to house a cook for the group or for children. The bedrooms within the main lodge are situated on the level above, and there are four double bedrooms, four twin bedrooms and four bathrooms. Within its own private grounds, the estate includes a stretch of the river Tromie, and residents are allowed to fish this in season as part of the rental. In winter months red deer are fed in the field in front of the lodge and this is quite a spectacle. Plenty of parking is available for cars, though in winter months, four wheel drive vehicles may be more suitable. This is a delightful sporting lodge, with an old world charm, which is ideal for larger groups looking for their own space in the Highlands of Scotland.
